It’s wonderful when everything just comes together! We recently covered Harriet and Oliver’s wedding, a lovely couple from the UK. We had the great fortune of meeting them while they were doing their pre-wedding photo shoot in London. They got married in the beautiful Island of Hvar, Croatia, and as you can see, they couldn’t have picked a more stunning location. As Hvar wedding photographer, we love welcoming couples into old town Hvar. Not only do we get to make their wedding more special, but it also gives us the opportunity to capture the beauty of Croatia.
Set against the Adriatic Sea, it set the perfect tone for their special day. It was an intimate outdoor wedding, and the theme colors were ivory white and olive green which complemented Hvar’s natural beauty.
Franciscan monastery
The ceremony itself took place in front of the Franciscan monastery. This is a timeless landmark in this historic town and goes all the way back to the 15th-century. And in the other photos, we featured other culturally significant icons, such as the famous Last Supper painting in the monastery and the archaeological remains in the outer yard. We also journeyed into the city center and took some photos near the Hvar Loggia, which is yet another vital part of the town’s rich history.
All in all, the whole affair felt effortless. There was a calm sense of happiness that washed over everyone, and we were all in a state of bliss from start to finish. Harriet and Oliver were great to work with as they gave us complete creative freedom to capture the joyful spirit of their wedding. Most of all, we are privileged and honored to have been part of an important chapter in their lives.

We always knew that we wanted to get married abroad and after visiting Hvar on holiday I thought it was one of the most beautiful places that I had ever seen. After describing the place to Ollie we were convinced Hvar was the perfect place to get married, so romantic and relaxed. With the help of a wedding planner the process of organising the wedding was relatively straight forward and it couldn’t have turned out any better on the day. It was exactly how we imagined it to be and we had perfect sunshine in September but it wasn’t too busy on the island. Everyone that traveled over for the wedding had the best time.
