If you’ve ever wondered what paradise looks like, it definitely looks like Lake Como in Italy. Every time we visit this magical place in Italy we are immediately transported to a world of immense beauty and charm. Lake Como is located below the Alps and its landscape is one of the most picturesque in the world. No wonder it attracts people from all over the world who want to plan their wedding right on this magical lake. Along the lake there are many luxury villas from the 19th century. In one of them we had the opportunity to work. Being a Villa Balbianello wedding photographer is one of the most beautiful experiences a destination photographer can imagine and feel.

Brooke and Brandon wanted to have a little intimate wedding surrounded only by the closest family. In many ways this wedding is different from the others we have worked on so far. They are both big Star Wars fans and wanted to recreate the wedding scene of Princess Padma and Anakin. That scene from the film was shot right in the courtyard of Villa del Balbianello and is one of the most famous wedding scenes in the film industry. Also, Brooke wore a black elegant wedding dress and the beautiful red bouquet was the perfect match to her style.

The wedding ceremony was held in the lodge of the villa, after which dinner continued in the villa. Planning this wedding for the couple was very challenging. It took place in a pandemic, but in the end everything went just fine. Our bride Brooke gave advice to all future brides: “Soak in every little moment and enjoy the time on your day with each other. Don’t focus or worry about anyone else because it’s yall’s day”.

This non-traditional wedding in one of the most beautiful places in Italy and in the whole world will forever remain in our memory.
